We will feature a few of Joel and Marty’s personal projects which quite frankly, are a bit extreme.
Joel designed and built himself a 100% concrete super insulated shop. Everything is concrete, even the roof and work benches. There is no wood or steel in the structure. It's hail, fire, wind & basically bullet proof. It also uses about 10% of the heating energy of a traditional shop of the same size. Except for the doors and window, everything you see in that picture is concrete.
No joke, this structure is 100% concrete and it was completely designed & constructed by Joel, his Father and his Uncle who all take concrete very seriously.
About the "no wood or steel", thats a bit of a lie, the one off set of stairs Marty designed and built is steel & wood. As far as we know, this is the only set in existence because it was designed by Marty. More on that later. We have a sister company that designs and produces high end architectural / structural steel projects for extremely discerning clients.

Because of all of the slopes, angles and curves, it was quite fun to form.

Rick was very helpful in dealing with the city to get us an approval for this project, and who doesn't want to see a Ford GT in their driveway !!!
